If you recall, it was announced that we would not be having a formal "Back to School" night, but would like to make our contacts more direct. Having home visits makes this possible! Although mainly set up for new families entering a new classroom with a new teacher, personal teacher - parent - children home contacts may be done with returning families as well. Here is some information that will be presented:

4. Primary purposes and goals of our school
5. Goals and achievements with the students for the upcoming year
6. Goals that parents themselves hope to see achieved by their children in the classroom
7. Special needs of your child
8. Special inter ests and skills of your child
9. What have you as parents found to be effective means of encouragement for your children?
10. Specifics that require attention and clarification
• School supply lists
• Extra-curricular & music opportunities
• Calendars
• Classroom schedules
• Students and numbers in your classroom
• Explain procedures if departmentalizing in certain areas
• Discipline rules of the school and your classroom
• Homework expectations and how much to expect
• SnapGrades, blogger site
• School handbook overview, highlights, questions
• New school dress code, gum, other problem areas in the past
• Church, chapel, singing expectations
